Hebrew School at Chabad of Tribeca/Soho aims to provide and promote the highest quality after-school Judaic education to a diverse community of Jewish children.

Our aim is to nurture and build the foundation of your child(ren)'s Jewish identity through our interdisciplinary educational approach. The focus of our dedicated teachers is to inspire a two fold love.  A love for learning and a love for Judaism while fostering a feeling of familiarity within their heritage for each individual child.

A well-balanced Hebrew School education will develop in our students a commitment to using Torah values as a guide to the decisions of life, community, and life-long learning and teaching.

HEBREW
Our students learn to read & write Hebrew. They gain confidence and familiarity with the Siddur-Hebrew Prayer Book.

TORAH
Study of the weekly Torah portion provides our students with practical lessons that apply to our daily lives.

ISRAEL
Our students will attain an affection for our heritage and the uniqueness of our homeland Israel.

JEWISH HISTORY
The students gain an appreciation of our heritage and culture that has been preserved throughout the ages.

HOLIDAYS AND SHABBAT
Traditions and celebrations, exploring the Jewish Holidays and Shabbat will provide a deeper understanding for our students. One of the fundamental goals of our curriculum is to familiarize the student with the Siddur as a whole, and specifically with the Shabbat morning service. One Saturday per month the children will gather for a Junior congregation service and experience communal Shabbat celebration.

JEWISH VALUES
Beginning with the origins of the mitzvot, stressing practical applications in our daily lives, our students will explore a personal Jewishness.
